Faridabad Man Arrested for Murdering Daughter-in-law, Burying Body Near Home

A 54-year-old man in Faridabad has been arrested for allegedly killing his daughter-in-law, Tannu Rajput, and secretly burying her near the house.

Tannu, who married Arun Singh in 2023, was reported missing on April 25. Earlier, her father had alerted police about a suspicious pit near the in-laws’ residence, but no action was taken initially. Suspicion later fell on the in-laws. 

On June 20, in the presence of a duty magistrate, the police dug up the spot and found Tannu’s body at the site. 

A murder case has been registered at the Palla police station under relevant IPC sections. Investigation is ongoing.
