  • Case Name: LABH SINGH v. K A P SINHA.
  • Judge(s): Justices Surya Kant and Sudhanshu Dhulia
  • Advocate(s): Advocate General Gurminder Singh

Jagjit Singh Dallewal, a leader of the farmers' protests, will seek medical aid if the Indian government agrees to negotiate. Farmers have protested against Agricultural laws since 2020, demanding their repeal and better support.

The Supreme Court's vacation bench, comprising Justices Surya Kant and Sudhanshu Dhulia, is overseeing the case regarding Dallewal's hospitalization.

The Supreme Court has deferred the hearing on Dallewal's hospitalization to January 2, 2024. The Punjab government reported ongoing negotiations with farmers at the protest site, amid concerns about Dallewal's health during his hunger strike.
