‘Feed Them at Home’: Supreme Court Tells Noida Woman in Dog-Feeding Row

The Supreme Court on Tuesday advised Noida resident Reema Shah to feed stray dogs at her home instead of public spaces.

Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta were hearing her appeal against a High Court order, where she claimed harassment for feeding community dogs.

The bench sharply asked, “Why don’t you feed them in your own house?” and warned of risks to morning walkers and cyclists.

Shah cited animal welfare rules and lack of feeding spots in Noida, but the Court stressed the need for a balance between compassion for animals and public safety.
