FIR Filed Against Five ILS Law College Students in Alleged Ragging Case

Pune Police registered an FIR against five students of ILS Law College under the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act following allegations of ragging and mental harassment made by a fellow student residing in the hostel.

The complainant alleged sustained intimidation, verbal abuse, and hostile behaviour over several months after objecting to certain activities in the hostel.

Although the college had earlier conducted an internal inquiry through its anti-ragging committee and reportedly found no conclusive evidence of ragging, the student later escalated the matter through the UGC anti-ragging mechanism.

Police have now initiated an investigation and are recording statements of the accused students and college authorities.
