The Kerala High Court has initiated criminal contempt proceedings against Shibu Mohan for filing petitions using his estranged wife’s forged signature to challenge a show-cause notice issued by the Consulate General of India, Dubai.
A Bench of Justices A Muhamed Mustaque and S Manu imposed a total cost of ₹3 lakh—₹1.5 lakh to the Kerala Legal Services Authority and ₹1.5 lakh to his wife, for abusing the judicial process and causing her mental agony.
The Court found that Mohan forged vakalats and pleadings, attempted to evade earlier orders, and misled the Court, terming his conduct “an unforgivable act of fraud.”
