Delhi HC Told Dabur’s “100% Juice” Claim Violates Food Safety Rules: FSSAI

The Delhi High Court was informed by FSSAI on April 23, 2025, that Dabur’s “100% fruit juice” label violates the Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018

FSSAI, in its affidavit, stated that the term “100%” is not permitted under Schedule V of the regulations. 

In June 2024, FSSAI had directed all food business operators to remove such claims from fruit juice labels and ads.

Dabur has challenged this direction, arguing that the regulator misinterpreted the law and that its use of “100%” aligns with product content and consumer understanding.
