Future Group, Amazon Engage in Settlement Talks After ₹23.7 Crore SIAC Award: Delhi High Court

The Delhi High Court was informed that Future Group and Amazon are in settlement discussions following a ₹23.7 crore award granted to Amazon by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).

The dispute arose from a 2020 transaction between Future Group’s Reliable Retail Network Limited and Reliance Industries Limited, which Amazon claimed breached contractual covenants under their investment agreements.

The SIAC tribunal held Future Group liable for violating those terms and awarded compensation along with costs. The Delhi High Court has adjourned the matter to January 14, 2026, to allow parties to finalise the proposed settlement.
