Police are investigating the deaths of three minor sisters in Ghaziabad, with preliminary findings pointing towards severe online gaming and mobile phone addiction.
The girls’ father told investigators that financial stress was not the cause and stated that his daughters had become deeply influenced by Korean online content and gaming culture.
Police officials noted irregular schooling, prolonged isolation, and excessive screen time since the COVID-19 pandemic. A suicide note and distressing messages written on the walls of their room were recovered during the forensic examination.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and statements of family members and residents are being recorded.
