Govt Plans to Table 8 New Bills in Monsoon Session Starting July 21

The Monsoon Session of Parliament will begin on July 21 and continue till August 21, with 21 sittings planned.

The government is set to introduce eight new Bills, including the National Sports Governance Bill, the Geoheritage Sites and Geo-relics Bill, and amendments to the Mines and Minerals and National Anti-Doping Acts.

Other proposals cover GST provisions in Manipur, Jan Vishwas reforms, IIM governance changes, and the new Income Tax Bill, 2025.

Key political flashpoints may include debates on electoral roll revisions in Bihar, Operation Sindoor, and the possibility of President’s Rule in Manipur.
