The Gujarat High Court has directed police to investigate a man’s complaint against a fertility clinic, alleging that it cheated him during an IVF procedure.
The petitioner claimed a DNA test showed he is not the biological father of the child, although the child is genetically related to his wife.
He accused the clinic of forgery and breach of trust, stating his semen was used but the child’s blood group raised suspicion.
Justice Hasmukh D. Suthar ordered an inquiry and sought a status report within four weeks, without commenting on the case's merits.
