The Gujarat High Court has mandated the installation of CCTV cameras in court record rooms after an advocate was allegedly caught tampering with case documents.
The Court took suo motu cognisance of the incident, emphasising the need to protect case records and maintain the integrity of judicial proceedings.
The accused advocate faces disciplinary action, and the court has directed the state registry to implement enhanced security measures immediately.
The Court remarked that Registrars and the Registry of the court are considered to be 'Omnia parata' (prepared for all things). The Court listed the matter on August 26.
