Haryana Cabinet Approves New Land Purchase Policy 2025

The Haryana Cabinet has approved the ‘Land Purchase Policy for Development Projects, 2025’ to streamline voluntary land acquisition for government projects.

The policy allows landowners to sell their land either entirely or in parts to governmental bodies, including Central and State departments, boards, and corporations for development projects, aiming to avert distress sales. 

It replaces the 2017 policy by adding provisions for incentivising land aggregators and introducing empanelment via an online portal. The policy applies to all government departments, boards, corporations, and state-run companies and ensures fair compensation in alignment with modern land acquisition norms.
