Haryana Fixes Vehicle Age Limits in NCR Under 2025 Amendment Rules

The Haryana Government has approved amendments to the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993, fixing vehicle age limits in the NCR under the 2025 Amendment Rules.

Under the amended rules, tourist vehicles operating with All India Permits in the NCR may operate for up to 12 years if running on petrol or CNG, while diesel vehicles are restricted to 10 years.

For other permit categories in the NCR, including stage carriage, contract carriage, goods vehicles and school buses, petrol, CNG and electric vehicles may operate for up to 15 years, whereas diesel vehicles are capped at 10 years.

In non-NCR areas, vehicles under these permit categories are permitted to operate for up to 15 years irrespective of fuel type.
