The Delhi High Court has asked Delhi University and the Bar Council of India to evolve mechanisms to enable students to attend LLB classes online and set a timeline for appealing low attendance cases.
The court emphasized the need for regular updates of attendance records via email, SMS, and WhatsApp, and stated that students should have the opportunity to contest their short attendance, with decisions based on the validity of their appeals.
The court rejected petitions from students seeking admit cards for exams due to attendance issues, citing a lack of diligence and the importance of maintaining the integrity of the professional course.
