J&K High Court Recommends Refresher Training for Trial Court Judge

The Jammu & Kashmir High Court set aside an order passed by the Municipal Magistrate (1st Civil Subordinate Judge), Srinagar, dated December 30, 2024.

The petitioners had sought to restore the position pertaining to the suit property and requested help from the local police at Shalteng, but the judge dismissed their plea without proper reasoning.

Justice V.C. Koul found this decision careless and noted that the magistrate failed to consider the matter judiciously.

He further recommended that the judge attend a refresher course at the J&K Judicial Academy to enhance their legal understanding and improve future judicial handling.
