Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has acquired a 90.5% stake in Minimalist, a skincare brand owned by Uprising Science Private Limited, for ₹2,955 crore.
The deal includes ₹2,760 crore for buying shares from existing stakeholders and a ₹45 crore cash investment in the company. This move strengthens HUL’s position in the premium skincare market and supports its growth strategy.
Leading law firms were involved in the transaction, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised HUL, Trilegal represented Minimalist and its founders, Khaitan & Co assisted Peak XV Partners, and IndusLaw advised Unilever Ventures.
The deal is expected to be completed by the first quarter of FY 2026, subject to approvals.
