INDIA Alliance Nominates Former SC Judge B. Sudershan Reddy for Vice President

The INDIA alliance has named former Supreme Court judge B. Sudershan Reddy as their candidate for the upcoming Vice Presidential election, following Jagdeep Dhankhar's resignation.

Justice Reddy, born in July 1946, began his legal career in 1971 and served as a judge in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, and a Supreme Court judge from 2007 to 2011.

The opposition coalition highlighted his distinguished and progressive legal career, emphasising his commitment to social, economic, and political justice.

The election is scheduled for September 9, with nominations closing on August 21.
