IndiGo has been fined over Rs 25 lakh by the Joint Commissioner of Customs in Ludhiana for additional duty on leftover Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF).
The penalty was issued under the jurisdiction of the Customs Department, prompting IndiGo's parent company, InterGlobe Aviation, to plan legal measures.
The company will take appropriate legal measures against it and clarify in a regulatory filing that the fine will not significantly impact its financials or operations.
The fine relates to a demand for additional customs duty on remnant Aviation Turbine Fuel.
