Infosys Accuses Cognizant of Anti-Competitive Practices

Infosys has submitted a counterclaim in a U.S. court against Cognizant and its CEO Ravi Kumar, accusing them of misusing confidential information and engaging in anti-competitive behavior to suppress competition in the healthcare software industry.

The Bengaluru-based company asserts that Kumar postponed the launch of its Helix platform while at Infosys and subsequently joined Cognizant, recruiting senior executives.

Infosys has also charged Cognizant with using its dominant position in the U.S. healthcare payer market to obstruct competition.

This counterclaim comes in response to Cognizant's 2024 lawsuit, which claimed that Infosys misappropriated trade secrets.

Infosys is requesting a jury trial, claiming substantial financial damage caused by Cognizant’s actions.
