Infosys Co-Founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, former-IISc Director Booked Under SC/ST Atrocities Act

Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former IISc director Balaram P, and 16 others under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, following a court order.

The complaint was made by former IISc assistant professor Sanna Durgappa, who claimed he faced caste-based discrimination, was denied research funding, and was falsely accused of financial fraud and sexual harassment.

A 2017 legislative committee report found no proof of harassment and indicated that Durgappa was targeted because he is Dalit.

There has been no official response from Gopalakrishnan or IISc regarding the allegations.
