Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has filed a defamation case in the Delhi High Court against two media outlets, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi.
The case concerns articles linking him to a U.S. indictment involving the Adani Group. The reports alleged Reddy accepted $200 million in bribes for a solar project, based on claims in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) indictment.
Reddy denied the allegations, stating all project approvals were legal. He is seeking ₹100 crore in damages and a ban on further such publications. The court has summoned the outlets, with a hearing on December 16.
