Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan Sworn In as Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court
Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court on July 23. At his oath-taking ceremony in Ranchi, he emphasised that a healthy judiciary is built not just on rules but also on trust and mutual respect between the bench and bar.
A former judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice Chauhan, is known for landmark rulings on privacy and digital reform.
He aims to focus on timely case disposal, tech-driven courts, and access to justice for marginalised communities during his tenure.
