Supreme Court Judge Recommends Delhi High Court to Live-Stream Proceedings for Better Transparency

Supreme Court Judge, Justice Vikram Nath, urged the Delhi High Court to start live-streaming its proceedings, calling it vital for transparency and public trust.

Speaking at the launch of several IT initiatives, including a mobile app and digital record preservation, he emphasised that digitisation reduces delays, empowers litigants, and makes justice more accessible.

Justice Nath clarified that courts’ “scoldings” of the government aim at correction, not animosity, and sought financial support from the state for better infrastructure. 

Delhi High Court Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya echoed confidence that e-initiatives will improve efficiency while strengthening collaboration with the government.
