Pune Porsche Crash: Juvenile Justice Board Rejects Plea to Try 17-Year-Old as Adult

The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has declined the Maharashtra Govt's request to treat a 17‑year‑old involved in the May 2024 Porsche crash, which killed two tech professionals, as an adult, confirming he will face juvenile proceedings.

The state argued this was a heinous offence meriting adult court, citing evidence of intoxication and culpable homicide charges.

The JJB rejected this, continuing the case under the JJ Act.
