Actor Ranveer Singh informed the Karnataka High Court that he is willing to file a revised apology affidavit in the Kantara mimicry case after objections were raised by the complainant.
The complainant argued that the earlier affidavit did not reflect genuine remorse. Singh’s counsel submitted that a fresh affidavit would be prepared in consultation with the complainant to address these concerns.
The case arises from an FIR registered over Singh’s mimicry of a character from Kantara: Chapter 1 during a public event, which allegedly hurt religious sentiments.
The Court has recorded the submission and posted the matter for further hearing.
