​Kapil Sibal Raises ₹43 Crore CSR Fund for Lawyers’ Welfare, Aims for ₹60 Crore Corpus​

SCBA President and Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal has raised over ₹43 crore through CSR contributions to support lawyers facing financial hardships.

The fund will provide medical insurance, financial aid, and other welfare measures for advocates across India. 

Sibal shared that he approached top industrialists, including Mukesh Ambani and Torrent Group executives, and “not a single person said no.”

He aims to expand the corpus to ₹60 crore and has requested the government to match the fund to create a long-term insurance scheme. The initiative was a key promise during his SCBA presidential campaign.
