The Karnataka High Court on Monday heard arguments in the rape case against suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna.
Senior Advocate Sidharth Luthra, representing Revanna, argued that the allegations are part of a political vendetta, noting procedural lapses in the investigation, including inaction against Revanna’s former driver, linked to leaked explicit videos that triggered multiple cases.
The Court noted the submissions and will consider the plea further. The trial court had convicted Revanna in one rape case, and several other criminal cases against him remain pending.
The next hearing date will be announced.
