Karnataka HC Postpones Release of Kamal Haasan’s ‘Thug Life’ to June 10 Amid Boycott Row

The Karnataka High Court has postponed the release of Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Thug Life’ to June 10, 2025, while hearing a petition related to boycott calls against the movie.

The Court observed that a letter submitted by Kamal Haasan in response to the controversy did not contain the word ‘apology’, which was expected by the petitioners.

The bench directed all parties to maintain the status quo until the next hearing. 

The matter will be further considered on June 10, with the Court emphasizing the importance of addressing public sentiment and legal concerns before the film’s release.
