The Karnataka High Court stayed further investigation against spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in a land encroachment case, observing that there were prima facie no allegations against him in the complaint.
The Court said he cannot be drawn into a criminal probe unless the prosecution places material on record showing his direct involvement.
While noting that the FIR arose from directions issued in a public interest litigation on alleged encroachment of public land, the Court held that investigation against him would remain stayed till the next hearing on January 21.
