The Karnataka High Court rejected Ola Electric's plea to quash a notice issued by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) related to over 10,000 consumer complaints about its electric two-wheelers.
The notice requires Ola Electric to submit additional documents for an ongoing investigation into violations of consumer rights, misleading advertisements, and service deficiencies.
The Court confirmed the investigating officer’s authority and dismissed concerns about reputational harm, noting that no public statements would be made regarding the probe.
Ola Electric must provide the required documents within six weeks, as the investigation is deemed lawful and necessary to address consumer grievances.
