Karnataka High Court Imposes Fine of ₹50K on Petition to Halt Release of Jolly LLB 3

The Karnataka High Court has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on a man who filed a PIL to stop the release and exhibition of the film Jolly LLB 3, scheduled to be released on September 19.

The petition was dismissed on the grounds of unjustifiable consumption of judicial time.

The petitioner argued that certain dialogues from the movie are derogatory and undermine the sanctity of the judicial system.

The Court rejected the contention and stated that the courtroom scenes are an appeal to the humour of the audience.
