Karnataka High Court Orders Display of Dr. BR Ambedkar Portraits in All Court Halls

The Karnataka High Court directed the display of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s portrait in all court halls across Karnataka, including High Court Benches in Bengaluru, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, and district courts.

The Court issued circulars in response to public, advocate, and organisational demands, along with a government communication.

Earlier on April 26, the full bench of the High Court had already passed a resolution to honour Dr. Ambedkar's portrait by placing it in every courtroom.

The Court instructed the Additional Registrars General to implement the display of Bharata Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s portrait across all court locations, emphasising the need to visibly honour his constitutional legacy.
