Karnataka High Court Rejects Prajwal Revanna's Plea to Transfer Rape Cases to Another Trial Court

The Karnataka High Court dismissed former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna's petitions seeking the transfer of trials in two pending rape cases from the 81st Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru, to another court.

Justice MI Arun rejected claims of bias against the trial judge, noting that the judge's harsh remarks and criticism were responses to Revanna's delay tactics and not indicative of prejudice.

The Court held that dissatisfaction with rulings or perceived harshness does not warrant transfer and urged the trial court to decide the cases on merit.

Revanna faces charges including repeated rape and criminal intimidation.
