The Karnataka High Court expressed concern over potential tampering of breathalyser devices used by traffic police to detect drunk driving.
During the hearing of a petition by Ajay Kumar Kashyap C, who was fined ₹10,000 after allegedly testing negative twice and positive the third time despite medical evidence to the contrary, Justice B. M. Shyam Prasad emphasised the need for operational integrity.
