Kerala Bar Council Initiates Disciplinary Action Against KHCAA President Over Facebook Post Against Judge

The Bar Council of Kerala has initiated suo motu disciplinary proceedings against KHCAA President Yeshwanth Shenoy under Section 35 of the Advocates Act for a Facebook post allegedly defaming Justice TR Ravi of Kerala High Court. 

The post came after a May 2 judgment in which the Court declined to quash earlier disciplinary proceedings initiated against Shenoy by the Bar Council. 

In his remarks, Shenoy questioned the timing of the verdict and suggested a personal connection between Justice Ravi and Senior Advocate George Poonthottam.

This is not the first time the Bar Council has taken up proceedings against Shenoy.
