Kerala Court Grants Bail to Advocate Accused of Assaulting Woman Junior Lawyer

A Kerala court has granted bail to Advocate Beyline Das, accused of assaulting a junior woman lawyer at his Trivandrum office.

The order was passed after remanding Das to 14 days' judicial custody.

Das was granted bail on furnishing two sureties with bonds of ₹50,000 each. He is barred from entering the Vanchiyoor Police jurisdiction for two months or until the charge sheet is filed. He must not contact the victim or influence witnesses.

The case is registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and has drawn strong attention from Kerala’s legal fraternity.
