Kerala Court Awards Death Penalty To Greeshma For Murder Of Beau Sharon Raj

A Kerala court sentenced Greeshma to death for murdering Sharon Raj, her 23-year-old partner, by administering poison in October 2022.
The Neyyattinkara Additional Sessions Court also sentenced her to ten years for abduction, five years for misleading the investigation, and found her uncle guilty of hiding evidence, sentencing him to three years in prison.
The crime involved Greeshma giving Sharon an Ayurvedic tonic laced with poison, leading to his death from organ failure 11 days later.
The judge called it a "rarest of rare" case and stressed the importance of digital and forensic evidence in proving the crime.
