He had argued that changes to Sections 2, 3, and 14 weakened the independence and functioning of the Lok Ayukta. The Court, however, found no constitutional violation in the amendments and held that the legislature has the authority to modify the law.
It declined to interfere with the changes, thereby allowing the amended provisions to remain in force.
