The Kerala High Court upheld the life imprisonment of a man convicted of throwing acid on his wife and children, causing severe physical and psychological harm.
The ruling came on his criminal appeal challenging the trial court’s verdict. The Court described the offence as a premeditated and heinous act deserving the strictest punishment under the law.
While affirming his conviction and sentence for the acid attack, the Court set aside his conviction for house trespass, holding that he was in lawful possession of the house where the incident took place.
