
The Kerala High Court initiated suo motu proceedings to address the poor physical and digital infrastructure at mediation and ADR centres across the State.
The Division Bench noted that the absence of adequate rooms, lack of privacy, weak technological facilities and staffing shortages were compromising confidentiality and adversely affecting mediation outcomes.
The Court appointed an amicus curiae and sought instructions from the State Government, while also impleading the High Court Administration and the Kerala State Legal Services Authority to facilitate a comprehensive assessment.
The matter was posted for further hearing on December 1.
