"Manjummel Boys" Producers Approach Kerala High Court Seeking Permission To Attend Award Show In Dubai

The Kerala High Court is considering a petition by Manjummel Boys producers Shawn Antony and Soubin Shahir seeking relaxation of their bail condition that bars international travel.

The petitioners wish to attend the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2025 in Dubai, where their film is nominated for Best Movie.

A Criminal Miscellaneous petition was filed after the trial court dismissed the request. Justice P. V. Balakrishnan asked the prosecution to explain its concerns about the four-day trip, noting the advance booking of tickets raised questions about good faith.

The court has posted the matter for further hearing on September 8.
