Kerala High Court Lifts Suspension of Toll Collection at Paliyekkara Plaza, Bars New Rates for Now

The Kerala High Court has revoked its earlier order suspending toll collection at the Paliyekkara toll plaza on NH-544, imposed in August due to poor road conditions and severe congestion.

The Court noted that while citizen concerns cannot be ignored, continued suspension could lead to multiple litigations.

The Court allowed toll collection to resume but barred the implementation of new rates introduced on September 1 until further orders.

The Court said it will keep monitoring the situation through the Interim Traffic Management Committee constituted earlier.
