Kerala High Court Constitutes Committee to Fix Infrastructure Gaps in Mediation Centres

The Kerala High Court has constituted a Mediation Infrastructure Committee to address severe infrastructural deficiencies in mediation centres across the State.

Noting the lack of basic amenities, privacy, staff, and digital facilities in most of the 82 mediation centres, the Court stressed that effective mediation depends on proper physical and digital space.

It directed priority intervention, dedicated rooms with video-conferencing facilities, and urged budgetary support and permanent staffing to strengthen mediation as a key dispute-resolution mechanism.
