Kerala High Court to Launch E-Filing System for Prisoners in All 57 Jails from July 1

Starting July 1, the Kerala High Court will roll out e-filing services across all 57 jails in the State, enabling prisoners to digitally file appeals and petitions.

The initiative stems from a meeting chaired by Chief Justice Nitin Jamdar in December 2024 and marks a shift from manual to digital filing.

Login credentials have been created for each prison within the High Court's case management system. Two SOPs prepared by the KeLSA and the Court’s IT Directorate will guide the process.

The Registrar General has requested the prison department to ensure the timely implementation of this reform to improve access to justice.
