The Kerala High Court has extended the suspension of toll collection at the Paliyekkara toll plaza until a fresh traffic and revenue assessment is completed.
The court directed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to conduct a detailed inspection to address allegations of illegal excess toll charges and traffic congestion.
The order follows a petition highlighting violations of toll collection rules and public inconvenience. The court emphasised transparency and compliance with legal standards, ensuring toll operations align with public interest before resumption.
The matter is now posted for further consideration on September 9, 2025.
