Kerala High Court Directs Mandatory Use of Adalat.AI for Witness Depositions from November 1

The Kerala High Court has directed all trial courts to record witness depositions using Adalat.AI (an AI-based speech-to-text tool) from November 1, 2025.

This direction follows a pilot phase that began in February 2025 in selected courts like Ernakulam and certain other Munsiff courts.

The court clarified that in case of technical complexities, other platforms approved by the Directorate of IT may also be used, provided confidentiality and data security are maintained.

The signed depositions will be uploaded to the court’s digital system for easy access, while nodal officers will monitor progress and report monthly on the rollout.
