Kerala High Court Objects to Security Staff Wearing ‘Bouncer’ T-Shirts in Temple

The Kerala High Court directed the Cochin Devaswom Board to ensure that security personnel wearing T-shirts labelled “bouncer” are not deployed inside or around temple premises.

The Court noted that such attire affects the dignity and decorum of temple spaces after the petitioner produced videos showing personnel in inappropriate clothing managing crowds during a recent festival at the Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple.

The Board explained that an external agency had been engaged due to manpower shortages and assured the Court that such lapses would not recur.

The Court disposed of the plea with directions to maintain proper decorum during festivals.
