Kerala High Court Orders Enforcement on Illegal LED Lights and Bus Vlogging

The Kerala High Court initiated action after taking note of videos showing buses and other vehicles fitted with unauthorised LED lighting and drivers recording vlogs while operating vehicles in motion.

The Court noted that such alterations breached road safety standards under AIS-008, which governs lighting systems, and AIS-052, which regulates bus body design, thereby endangering passengers and other road users.

The Court directed the Transport Commissioner and the State Police Chief to conduct enforcement drives against these violations and to submit a detailed report on the actions taken.

The Court also scheduled the matter for further consideration following compliance.
