The Kerala High Court suspended former Family Court Judge V. Udayakumar in the public interest after women complainants accused him of serious sexual misbehaviour in his Chavara court chamber.
The Administrative Committee, comprising Chief Justice Nithin Jamdar, Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque, and Justice A. K. Jayasankaran Nambiar, reviewed written and oral complaints from three women and reports from the Registrar (District Judiciary) and Principal District Judge, Kollam.
The Court said charges will be framed after the inquiry report and tightened monitoring of judicial officers across the state to prevent such misconduct.
