The Kerala High Court has decided to screen the film Haal following objections raised by a Christian organisation, which cited concerns similar to past controversies over depictions of beef biryani and burqa.
Justice VG Arun has posted the matter for October 21 to decide who will view the film and whether the CBFC’s suggested modifications should be enforced.
The Court will personally examine the movie to determine if it warrants judicial intervention, seeking to balance artistic freedom with respect for religious beliefs.
